AMS Parent Update
Friday, September 18, 2020 From Mrs. Debra Regier, Principal
Next Week - September 21-25
This will continue to be the schedule for school as long as we are in the Hybrid Model:
Students are starting to complete assignments after our first few weeks of hybrid learning. Please remember that you can check PowerSchool to monitor your student’s progress. Here is an overview of how you can access this information.
Did you know that millions of dollars of school funding are tied to the Census each year? The deadline to complete the Census is September 30. Visit www.my2020census.gov to make sure you are counted.
Please make sure your student’s Chromebook is completely charged overnight. Students are expected to come to school with a fully-charged Chromebook each day. It is also helpful for students to bring their charger with them in case they need to recharge at some time during the school day.
If you need assistance with a broken or damaged Chromebook please reach out to the AMS Library/Media Center for assistance. If your student is having difficulties with digital assignments, apps, or other digital content, please contact the classroom teacher. If the classroom teacher is unable to resolve the issue, the teacher will contact a district technology specialist.
Student Health History Forms were sent out on Tuesday, September 1. Please complete if you have not already done so. LINK
AMSPO is the parent organization at AMS. They are looking for YOU! For more information please refer to the “Parent Organization” tab on the AMS website. LINK
Our cafeteria service lines will be modified for small groups with social distancing, and touchless meal account activation with NO CASH transactions. Bar codes will be used instead of entering the student id number. CASH WILL NOT be accepted through the serving lines.
CASH/CHECK PAYMENTS can be made at the beginning of the day by dropping off at 202 W. Market in Andover or at any school office. Please include the student's first and last name & id number. Payments can be made on the Revtrak online payment system at any time. Students do need to have money in their accounts if they wish to purchase ala carte items.
Andover Public Schools is offering free meals to all students through a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Students who are attending school in-person can receive their free breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria like they normally would.
On days they are learning from home, students in a hybrid model learning may pick up breakfast and lunch from noon-1 p.m. Monday through Friday at these locations:
Andover High School loading dock, Door P.
Andover Central High School loading dock, Door N.
